BPI VISA Card Offers a Personalized Barkada Selfie Look!

As we first seen personalized bank cards on some famous humor sites, BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands) is now riding the trend on offering a personalized VISA Card! As they went through their marketing strategy, Selfie VISA Cards might soon be seen everywhere if it will be a hit.

Based on the information provided, BPI's personalized more fun cards will only be accepting Barkada Groufie images to serve as the new look of a VISA Card. However, if the processing of the said cards will be automated, some non-Barkada Groufie images might pass the validation process as the user will be the one responsible for uploading an image.

But after taking a peek with BPI's guidelines for this morefun cards, here's the list taken from BPI's page.
  • Logos and/or names of financial institutions not affiliated with BPI or any of its partners
  • Competitive marks or names
  • Political or religious imagery which is offensive to cultural values
  • Illegal and socially unacceptable groups
  • Provocative or sexual material
  • Pictures of branded products for advertising purposes (except those associated with approved Affinity/Co-brand programs)
  • Copyrighted or trademark material not owned by applicant
  • Well-known celebrities/musicians/public figures/athletes/cartoons, etc.
  • Public documents such as driver’s license, SSS ID, Voter’s ID or any other picture that can result in card being mistaken to be an identity card
  • Phone numbers (e.g. 800 or 900 numbers) and URL addresses (e.g.
  • Violence, profanity or obscenities
  • Any references to VISA sponsorship properties (e.g. Olympics – except for those associated with approved programs)
  • Pictures of any type of currency
Perhaps there will still be a manual process for the image validation.
